Heritage Homes & Land Acquisitions, Inc. (HHLA) is a start-up 501(c)(3) nonprofit affordable housing development organization. It exists to offer a solution to the continual decline in the U.S. homeownership rate, since the U.S. housing crash of 2007-2008, starting with the Birmingham-Hoover metro area.

 

The mission of HHLA is to reduce the rate of homelessness and increase the rate of home and land ownership among low- to moderate-income households, with homeownership related barriers, while stabilizing and revitalizing urban neighborhoods.

 

Our ultimate objective is to break the generational cycle of low socioeconomic status and rentership, and equip our home buying clients and lessees with the tools and wherewithal needed to obtain next-level socioeconomic status and home and land ownership.
